International activities

The Council will create and promote international partnerships to enable regional development through financing, expertise and good practices. It is important for the Council's activities and personnel to collect information and to compare good practices between regions.

The Council will maintain and attempt to create contacts with representatives from various EU institutions, such as members of the Commission, the Parliament and the Committee of Regions.

Cooperation will be built up particularly with those regions within the territory of the European Union that share the same interests with the Tampere Region. The Council will also build up cooperation with regions outside the European Union when this contributes to the Council's basic functions.
