AIRPORT TRANSFER
The organisers will provide transportation from/to
the Tampere-Pirkkala Airport. Please, make sure you inform
the conference secretariat your flight number and time of arrival and
departure – preferably by using the registration form.
The
Tampere–Pirkkala airport is about 17 km south–west of the Tampere
city centre. The airlines operating in Tampere are Finnair, Ryanair, SAS and Blue1.
Bus
from the airport to the city centre takes about 40 minutes and costs
about 6 € /person.
Airport Taxi vehicles are on stand–by for plane arrivals and carry passengers
to and from the city centre. Fare for Airport Taxi is 14 €/person. Normal
taxi to Tampere city costs about 35 €.
How to get to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport?
Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is situated 15 kms from
Tampere city centre. The easiest and fastest way to the airport is to
take an Airport Taxi. The one-way fare is €14. You need to book the Airport
Taxi well in advance. Please, contact your hotel desk for details and
reservations. The cost of a normal taxi will be about €35.
For the Ryanair flights,
there is a bus transportation from the Railway Station to Tampere Pirkkala
airport (terminal 2) by Tokeen Liikenne (bus company) daily at 14.30,

How to get from Tampere city centre to
Helsinki Airport?
Trains to Helsinki leave every hour, the journey lasts two hours. However,
the easiest way to travel to Helsinki Airport from Tampere is frequent
and comfortable coach connection. The bus leaves from the Tampere bus
station and goes all the way in front of the departures’ hall. More information
